A polygamous marriage in which the husband takes the agreed accommodation and financial responsibilities, with the practical details discussed privately and mutually agreed.

Misyaar arrangement

An arrangement in which the wife remains in her established home and freely agrees to limited or no regular financial contribution from her husband. Both people must select compatible answers before a match may proceed.

Important: A woman owning or remaining in her own home does not automatically mean that she accepts limited financial responsibility. The living and financial questions are kept separate.

Who is the Polygamy service for?

This separate Linking Hearts service is for Muslims in South Africa who are specifically seeking or open to a polygamous marriage. Introductions are handled privately, with attention to both people’s preferences and circumstances.

Will my profile be visible to other people?

There are no public profiles, photographs, browsing or profile broadcasts. During matching, you are represented by an anonymous LH reference. Selected profile details are shared privately with a potential match. Contact details are exchanged only after mutual agreement and the required checks.

What does Polygamy membership cost?

Registration, onboarding and system matching are free. Ongoing membership is R350 per month for gentlemen and R100 per month for ladies. A private arrangement is available for ladies who cannot afford the fee.

Two prepaid Polygamy search tokens cost R100, separately from monthly membership. Membership is month-to-month.

When do I need to verify my identity?

Verification is completed once, when both people wish to proceed and before contact details are exchanged. Masked ID upload is the only verification option. Upload a masked ID or driver’s licence through the App. Keep only your photograph, full name and date of birth visible; cover your ID or licence number, address, signature, barcode, QR code and every other detail before uploading. The App does not mask the document for you. Members who are already verified do not need to repeat verification.
